People are invited to see behind the scenes of an elk farm and bird refuge at Wildlife Lakes Elk Farm near Burlington. Ponds and forested areas cover the grounds, making it ideal to raise elks. Canadian geese, which were once raised here before being released into the wild, return each fall and winter to make nests and raise goslings. Trumpeter swans are also bred on at the farm. Visitors can call ahead to visit and tour of the farm.
